We are delighted to confirm that Mr Sumption will be speaking on "The law of illegality after Stone & Rolls" at 6.00pm in the Blue Boar Lecture Theatre, Christ Church. Please see the Termcard for more details. All are welcome.
Michaelmas Term '09
On Sunday of 1st Week, there will be the traditional Freshers' Afternoon Tea to welcome all the new students.
On Thursday of 3rd Week, there will be a trip to the Head Office of Clifford Chance situated at Canary Wharf. It will provide an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of the firm and to network with partners, associates and trainees.
On Tuesday of 5th Week, Mr Guy Opperman from 3 Paper Buildings will be giving a talk relating to his extensive pro bono work, coinciding with National Pro Bono Week.
There will be an opportunity to network with Old Members at the Law Alumni Dinner, to be held on Friday of 6th Week. We are grateful to all our alumni for their continued support of the Mansfield Society.
The term will come to a close with an address by Mr Jonathan Sumption QC, Head of Brick Court Chambers, on Friday of 7th Week.

Programme for the Year
We have planned a wide range of events for the coming year, details of which can be found on the Termcard.
These range from the traditional black tie Annual Dinner and Finalists' Garden Party to a trip to the Supreme Court and much more.
We hope to be able to invite non-members of the Mansfield Society to some of the Guest Speaker events, and this will be announced in due course, once arrangements with our Guests have been made.
