Thank you for visiting the website of the Mansfield Society, Law Society for Christ Church.

The Mansfield Society runs a programme of events throughout the year (see the termcard) not only for undergraduates and graduates reading law but also students reading other subjects who intend to convert on the GDL. This year we have an array of events organised, including various skills sessions and presentations, a trip to the Supreme Court and the traditional Annual Dinner.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be playing host to Mr Guy Opperman, winner of the Bar Council Pro Bono Award 2007, Mr Jonathan Sumption QC, intellectual heavyweight and Head of Brick Court Chambers, and Ms Sue Hemming, Head of Counter-Terrorism at the CPS..

The Society is very grateful to those law firms which sponsor us and thus enable our events, both academic and informal, to be subsidised. Over the years we have developed close and reciprocal relationships with many law firms large and small and we hope these bonds will continue into the future.
