The competition consists of a single round and is designed to give everyone a flavour of mooting, hopefully before competiting in the inter-college and national competitions. The first moot is a steep learning curve for everyone and this competition is an ideal opportunity to get the mistakes out of the way.

The moot was held on Friday of 3rd Week Michaelmas and was won by the Appellants, represented by Mr James Geer and Miss Helen Rouse. The points of law, however, were resolved in favour of the Respondent (Messers Smith and Coward). Congratulations to both teams and thanks to Adam Papaphillipopoulos (a BCL student at ChCh) for judging.
